Following on from Time Takes The Time Time Takes and Set of Sets, Made of Space, the newest work by Guy Nader & Maria Campos, which premiered in July 2021 at the Grec Festival in Barcelona, completes the Lebanese/Spanish choreographer duo’s trilogy on rhythm, time, and transience. Combining movement sequences that interlink as precisely and delicately as clockwork, the seven dancers display an intense focus that is compelling to witness. Explosively dynamic steps culminate in jumps, throws, and turns, embodying a highly physical celebration of pure dance. The continuous flow of movements is propelled by two virtuoso percussion players accompanying the piece live: Miguel Marín, who also provided the beats for the first two parts, and Daniel Munarriz.
Made of Space rounds off the multidimensional trilogy with moving metaphors for the cycle of life and passing of time, from emergence to ending.
